Safety is paramount in my workshop and I have completed courses in WH&S.
Trained in Newcastle as an Industrial Arts teacher with NSW Dept. of Education, I started teaching in 1971. During this time as both Teacher and Head Teacher in schools across NSW, (1980 to 2014, James Sheahan Catholic High, Orange) most of my working life has involved imparting skills to help high school students gain practical knowledge of basics and more advanced construction techniques.
Helping to design and organize efficient workshops and a gradual pleasure in working with wood during these years has been the impetus behind my new venture The Dovetail Joint.
